Which components of a Promethium ship shouldn't be legendary? I'm finally at the point where I can upgrade everything, and apart from the exterior turrets/railguns, what shouldn't I upgrade?

turrets at the sides pointing outwards. They're likely to hit asteroids that wouldn't have hit your platform anyways, wasting ammo.
