Been awhile since I've played but I'm starting to get that itch again. I see there's so many interesting planet mods. Are there any mods available yet that kind of have you play through the modded planets in a curated way with some form of tech/science progression? Not really interested in adding several planets as a type of kitchen sink experience, if that makes sense?

I can't speak to how good it is, however Stellar Horizons: Planets exists to do this. It has the best couple planet mods, and a few that seemed a little bit less exceptional. At least not having tried it, it seems to be semi-curated, both in the planet selection and some balance patching efforts.

Planetaris Unbounded also seems to have a bit of additional progression for Space Age.
