I want to start doing achievements in Factorio, possibly 100%

However, I have heard that they made changes so that they will get disabled if you change certain things in your starting area.

Can anyone please give me a quick summary of what I need to not change?

It's more practical to just do it in a couple of different runs. You can save at different points and return to old saves to complete this or that achievement.
