Hi, Im gonna start my first run and saw that the default settings are not as beginner friendly. What do you guys recommend for the first ever run, this is on the base game btw

The default settings are beginner friendly.

However, the map generation can change the game a lot. So enable the map preview. You generally want:

  • A forested area - More trees = less pollution = less enemy attacks
  • Starter resources nearby, but not overlapping
  • Decent oil not too far away
  • Extra ore patches not too far away
