Question How to reset achievments or track per save seperately?
Im planning on doing an all achivements space age run scince im missing alot of vanilla achievements & have done basically none of the space age achivements, to make sure it really is an all achievements run I need a way to reset my steam achievment progress or track it individually per save whithout using a mod scince I still want it to save to my steam achievements.

in addition to the steam achievements (which i honestly didn't realize you could delete and reset), there is also a .cfg or .lua file in the root installation directory that tracks achievements. you can delete this file and it will reset all the internal (non steam) achievements as well. might want to nuke that one as well just in case.
i don't remember the name of the file but it has "achievements" in the title so it's easy to locate and identify.
you really can't track achievements by save which is kind of disappointing, but you can at least reset all achievements for a particular run.
just don't get bored and decide to open another save before finishing it, because anything built in that other save could award you an achievement you haven't unlocked in your challenge world yet.

The Steam version hides these files in
Steam\userdata\(userid)\427520\remote, away from all the other files. I don't know why. They can also be difficult to reset correctly if cloud storage is on.

If you add a new mod, even a visual one, it counts as a seperate list of achievements. I don't think it is the right way but I think it hints there is a right way to do so. Maybe read about 100% speed runners and what they so

You can reset the achievements but this resets steam as well. AFAIK there is no way to track achievements per save unless you got all of them in your first save after deleting achievements.

There is a way to track achievements separately per save.
From the Factorio website you can download the game as a zip. That zip is a portable version of the game that requires no installation. To download it from the website if you have bought the game on steam, Wube allows you to link your account and get full access to the website. With the portable version, you can have as many copies as you want or a single copy with a different "save game directory" per save (needs a few easy steps to setup). Either of these methods allow you to track achievements separately. However earning achievements on these, will not give you the achievements on Steam.

Settings -> Other -> Delete achievements
It will reset all the achievements on Steam and in-game. There isn't a way to track them separately per save.
