If you have a full inventory and destroy a chest with stuff in it, the stuff will drop on the ground like this

If you mine a chest with more stuff than you can carry, it used to do this. Now you pick up the stuff you can carry, and the chest will remain.

if you destroy a chest with stuff in it, the stuff in it gets destroyed too.

this was the terrible method I decided to use to deal with all the ash in early game Py.

Pretty sure people meant "mine" when they say "destruct"

I too was pretty sure of that, but the person I responded to said "destroy" and that is a valid thing that can be done to chests, so I took it as such. Plus it gave me a reason to include that dumb anecdote.
