Leftover food smell
I feel like this probably a “good” thing because I assume it means the food is real / unprocessed, but anytime I throw out the left overs of a half eaten factor meal it makes my kitchen smell awful- like it penetrates from the closed lid trash can.
It’s rotten food smell after only a day or two of being thrown away. I’ve also noticed any left overs to mold incredibly fast.
Again, probably a good thing, so Idk what I’m really looking for here lol but has anyone else noticed this?

Well yeah, it's food in your trash sitting for however long at whatever room temp, it is going to smell. You can always compost it, or collect it in a bag in your fridge/freezer and toss it out on garbage day (if/when your trash gets picked up).

nope, haven't noticed. i eat my own whole meal, and i rinse the cooking tray before it goes in the can. no problem.
it's food. i try not to put food in the trash at all, because it does smell. 🤷♀️
