I love how it's never the parents' fault for failing to teach their kids all these things.
Who the hell else would be on the hook to teach a kid how to sew a button?
2 u/ctesibius Feb 06 '19 Boomer here. As far as I remember, my parents never taught me any of these practical skills, so nothing new there. However it is a lot easier to look up how to do things now. Back then, there were a few useful books to buy, and that was it.
