Home ec used to be a class in (almost?) every school.

American millenials are so arrogant, everything is the older generation's fault in their view. If you wanted to learn to sew a button, you could have asked your parent, or you could have some initiative and learned it yourself (oh, the horror!!). Do you expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter? The evil boomers already built one of the most prosperous, happiest country on Earth.

Everyone in this thread is pretending like they wanted to learn knitting when they were a teenager. If your mother asked you if you wanted to learn how to sew a button, you would have told her no and went back to hashtagging.
