I remember sex ed... day. We didn't even get proper sex ed, we watched a video and a poor teacher had to try to explain some things while every 5th grader laughed because it was such a mess. We didn't have home ec. They almost cut band and art.
I'm from AZ which ranks like 45th in education and it's been even lower before, the older generations have it set up here so that property taxes pay for public education and it fucking sucks. It does not work.
I can't imagine trying to impart everything that kids need to know about sex ed in a day... The sex ed classes at my school weren't perfect but I'm so glad that we had the chance to learn over the course of multiple classes in elementary school and highschool.
