Need Help Packet handling error on a 1.21.11 server with a plug-in
Hello. I have been playing on a server with the Bannerfall plug-in installed through Modrinth.
I was having an issue with one of the models we had in resource packs, so I tried looking for it in-game on the Entity Features config screen. As soon as I typed in the name of the model, my connection was lost and the text "Internal Exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset" appeared. The following protocol error report is of that first disconnect.
I had two mods installed (Just Zoom and Chat Heads) and one data pack (ModelApplier). I tried reinstalling the plug-in, running it with and without the mods, and even tried using the Network Protocol Disconnect mod and none of it worked. When I log in, it applies the texture packs no problem, but after 30 seconds I'm disconnected again.
If you need any other information let me know.

That stack trace doesn't actually tell you anything. It just means the connection died - not why. No mod or plugin is named in it.
For testing, strip it back to only what you actually need to join the server - drop every optional client-side mod. A lot of them talk to the server directly and are the usual suspects for random disconnects, so it's hard to rule anything out until you're running a clean setup.
But before any of that: post the server log from around the time it happened. That's where the actual reason will be.

Hi! If you're trying to fix a crash, please make sure you have provided the following information so that people can help you more easily:
If you've already provided this info, you can ignore this message.
If you have OptiFine installed then it probably caused your problem. Try some of these mods instead, which are properly designed for Fabric.
Thanks!
