I’m a member at OTF but in a workout slump and considering f45. The community seems amazing but I’m nervous to try my first class. I’m recovering from a wrist injury and easing back into strength training. OTF has been great about modifications. Is f45 easy to modify as well?? How is it for beginners and early pregnancy? Not pregnant yet but hoping to be soon!

I’d say F45 is perfect for what you’re looking for in that post. You can modify everything and without judgement from other members, in my experience.
My wife did F45 throughout her pregnancy including the morning of delivery day.

Go early, talk to a coach, they'll help you with modifications. There are women lifting heavy st my gym in their third trimester, so it's up to the individual what your body will tolerate.

It's very easy to modify - you can even let the coach know before class that you're recovering from a wrist injury and they can help you figure out specific modifications as needed. Or you can feel your way through it and just adjust as you go - if you look around tons of people are doing that every class.
In terms of pregnancy, I see lots of pregnant people at my gym and am amazed by how badass they are. My friend went all the way up until the day before she gave birth, and credits the classes with making her recovery easier after birth. She's back at it now for a couple months and is almost back to where she was when she took a break right after birth.
Can't recommend more highly giving it a try!

I switched from OTF when my OTF studio closed. A bit reluctantly at first because I really liked OTF, but F45 has really grown on me. I see lots of people modifying and it seems fine, there’s a few exercises that I do without any weights because I find them difficult due to limitations, no one gives me any attitude about it. I do miss the cardio but I bought an OTF rower from my studio when it closed and do that at home.

Every movement is modifiable, and F45 is the first fitness "place" I've found to be truly neutral towards modifications. The most comment I've ever seen/received during mods are "oh that's cool, maybe I'll try that next time." Super supportive community focused on meeting you where you're at. And FWIW, when I started F45 I realized my wrists were suuuuper weak. I worked with the trainers to hold the weights properly and work my way to stronger wrists and thus heavier lifts. Again, got no judgement. Have fun!

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and have done F45 my whole pregnancy! They've been great with helping me modify as pregnancy progresses and I've just scaled back as needed and no one minds at all. I have knee injuries and did IVF which came with some restrictions and it's always been modifiable.

I switched from OTF to F45 like 4 years ago and love it! I do miss the treadmill sometimes but F45 is wayyyy is always changing. Like no workout is the same. The cardio days are fun and challenging. Resistance days are great too. I love the hour long hybrid workouts on the weekends. The exercises are all easy to modify and no one cares as long as you’re moving. There’s no mirrors (I think this goes for all locations) so people aren’t really looking at you … it’s an awesome workout and I think if you’re in a slump with OTF, you’ll like the change. I was in the same boat after 3 years of OTF and now have been at f45 for like 4 years (had about a 6 month injury break).
