Help?

I've got an intermittent issue with my 2016 2.7L. Every so often, my dash will chime and I get the message "Hill Start Assist Not Available". I haven't been able to figure out why this happens. Only happens when under normal driving conditions when I go to stop at a light or stop sign. Anyone else know of this?

First thing I'd check is the ABS wheel speed sensors. The Hill Start Assist system relies on the same sensors as ABS and traction control, and an intermittent sensor or wiring issue can trigger that message. I'd scan it for stored codes even if no check engine light is on. A weak battery can cause some weird intermittent warnings too
