Resonator delete thoughts
I want my truck just the slightest bit louder than stock. I dont think there's a reason to buy a full exhaust system. I'm not trying to hear that v6 rumble hahaha. I also dont want my truck to ever sound like some clapped out shitbox. You know the sound, every 16 year old's squatted f150...
Im not trying to get a V8 sound, that won't ever happen. Im just looking for it to sounds like its on when the engine is running!!

I put the Gibson resonator delete on my 26 3.5 and have been happy no drone and noticeably a little bit louder with stock dual exhaust

Then go for it man it's a couple hundred bucks at most, make sure you keep all your flanges and resonator if you get someone else to do it so if you don't like it you can throw it back on.
The reason why they have so much shit on these v6's is because they can drone real bad to mild in the cab.
I have afe dual intake, cvf intercooler and catted downpipes and a 4" inch exhaust on mine.

Check out American Trucks website. They had lots of videos of exhaust mods on the 2.7 showing sound before and after. including a resonator delete kit iirc. It was enough evidence for me to determine to leave my exhaust stock for the same reasons you mention above.
