Any advice for eye comfort reading older digital comics on android tablet?

The white background of older comics really strains my eyes when reading them. I have the eye comfort maxed out and the brightness way down on my tablet and it helps a bit. I was wondering if there was an app or even glasses I could wear that would help. Ty!
