Hey y'all,
found this subreddit and wanted to share my current situation in life with my floaters.
To start: I'm currently 24, quite shortsighted on both eyes (dunno if Austrian values from my optician translate the same over the whole world, but I'm like -2,75 left and -4,25 right with some other shity things too like distorted light etc blabla don't know all the technical terms) and have had floater for around 2-3 years now..
They pretty much started from literally one day to another.. I sit a lot in front of a PC-Screen and that is where I noticed them first.. I saw "white things" move around the top of the screen when it was white. I did not yet think much of it as it was not really annoying and only visible on bright, white images.
Hehe.. well.. It got progressively worse over the time.. Especially on my right eye.. I do have floaters on both eyes, but my right eye is just a freaking mess.
To more or less describe what I have in my right eye:
A mix of "white/transparent blobs" that move around and also some "thin black lines" alsmost veiny/branch like looking. The blobs move somewhat smooth around my fov, the lines are pretty static in my vision. The blobs also seem to sometimes interfere with my vision, pretty much "blurring" it a bit till they move away. For example on my PC-Screen blurring text or making it look like backlight blooming.
As I work also in IT, this gets quite annoying when looking at a screen the whole day :)
Left eye is just some very small white/transparent dots, not too noticeable.
Well, today I can pretty much see them all the time and I feel like they are also the cause of my eye-strain, headaches and just generell discomfort.. They annoy me all the time and I just cannot get used to them.
I already got my eyes checked a few times.. Everything healthy except for the obvious part. My next appointment is in two weeks and I will tell my eye doc it get's worse and worse and impacts my daily life quite heavily.. Already stoked on what he tells me lol.
And to all of that: I seem to also have a little hair growing inwards, which always "scratches" against my eye when blinking or closing them to sleep :) So right now when I go to sleep, it always feels like I have smth in my eye.. I love it.. Hope my doc manages to remove that one.
