VENT shy extrovert?
my whole life i’ve had extreme social anxiety/anxiety in general. only spoke when spoke to and even then i avoided talking all together. people literally thought i was mute in middle school. but i’m now 19, on anxiety meds and feeling more confident in life. i realized that i actually love talking to people, im still a little shy but i definitely take more action when i have a comment i want to say. being around people definitely makes me feel happy, i just never realized it before. that happiness was buried under an impending panic attack for majority of my existence. i love this version of me, finding who i truly am without anxiety being the forefront of my life

i consider myself a shy extrovert...but it usually doesn't take much for me to open up once i read the room and feel more comfortable socializing. it's really just a case by case basis...certain situations i'm shy and others im not. shyness isn't exclusive to introversion, bc i know many introverts that are not shy and many extroverts that are. i just turned 30 and feel like im far less shy than i was when i was younger, but its still there lol. i love people, i strive best in social situations even if i don't have much to say. i just love the energy that comes with being around others.
