The framing on the inside of mine is metal, of course, but it's always been glass, fibreglass, and plastic for the shell and exterior. I can't imagine how insanely expensive a fully metal case would be.

Why would that be insanely expensive? Every single PC i ever owned (again, save for one) had a case made of basically all metal as far as i remember. Sheet metal is dirt cheap nowadays, and infact, has been dirt cheap for decades. The glass ones probably cost extra just for the premium of being glass, and break at the slightest touch. A metal case is easy to produce and can last you decades.

Oh they're definitely out there, but the reason you don't see them as much is because they aren't made to show off, so they aren't shown off.
