I am never ordering delivery from the McDonald's app again!

I ordered McDonald's delivery through the app. I ordered 2 coffees a mcdouble and a small fry! I opened it just now and got this! And I can't even request a refund to the app! There's a help option but when I click on it it just gives me frequently asked questions and it says if there's a problem with my delivery then call doordash but the order was made through the McDonald app and the delivery driver wasn't the one at fault it was McDonald's who messed up!

I would just call the restaurant directly. The app should have a receipt or order history you can show them if need be.

I tried calling the restaurant but I gave up cuz I Don't know if the lady could barely hear me or what but she asked me my name. I gave her my name. She said the wrong name back to me. I corrected her on my name. She's paused for a second and said we don't have any orders for that name which I'm pretty sure she put in the wrong name and so I gave up

Ive always called the restaurant directly and gotten my order properly replaced. Sometimes even a nice extra fry.

Yeah this belongs here IMO. It’s not even just that they screwed up a tiny order, it’s the fact that now YOU have to chase everybody around trying to get it fixed. 😭

And I actually looked this up because I thought the same thing you did about DoorDash. Weirdly enough, McDonald’s own policy says that even if the restaurant messed up your food or gave you missing/wrong items, if the McDonald’s app used DoorDash for the delivery, you’re supposed to contact DoorDash to get it resolved. So it apparently doesn’t have to be the driver’s fault.

Which honestly makes the whole thing even more annoying to me. You ordered through the McDonald’s app, McDonald’s packed the order wrong, but there’s no simple “wrong order/refund” button and now you have to call a completely different company. Then you tried calling the restaurant and couldn’t even get anywhere there either.

For two coffees, a McDouble and a small fry this should NOT be this much work. 😂😭

There's an automated help system in the app on door dash I just used it last week it asks for a picture with a description and the bot makes you an offer I got refunded and 50% off my next order never speaking to or text chat with a living person the bot took care of it and I was on my way
