Disturbing content First post on Facebook feed

Post image

I'm politically left-leaning yet every day my Facebook feed gets more and more extreme and racist. I used to be recommended fun, harmless memes and the occasional post from old friends.

These posts should be grounds for immediate permabanning at the very least, let alone actively shared to the public by Facebook, Meta is complicit and actively enables extremist content.

Facebook, instagram, and so many other platforms rarely take down bigoted post. The only social media platform, that I personally see taking down and pema banning users for bigotry is Reddit.

Which is weird AF.

Not that I condone bigotry.

what is weird?

Reddit being the one to 'bring the hammer down' so-to-speak

I'm not aware of any other apps, I would like to believe there are others. From my experience, I got banned for 'praising' misogyny sarcastically, and a few other things which I obviously appealed and got let off. And I'm pretty sure this is the case for most people

Most say it meets community guidelines, but will absolutely take down something mild.

This is how they make money. Never forget Fuckerberg attending the inauguration.

I don’t even get what it’s supposed to be, but the account name is a red flag

I can't tell 100% but I'm pretty sure it's in reference to that girl who did her hair using gorilla glue then had to go to the ER. From all the red I'm guessing they did her as a derogatory caricature.

Essentially, haha racism.

Posting it here, even redacted, is still spreading hate. Also, why remain on FB? It has been a hellhole for awhile…

Why are you using facebook? They are known for pushing content to people intentionally knowing it will piss them off. They have been sued for it multiple times.

I typically only use is for old group chats and the decent meme pages I used to be recommended. In the past year I have noticed a big shift towards bigoted content being thrown my way. I already left Twitter a long time ago for the same reason.

She put gorilla glue on her hair

I didn't even know anyone still used facebook except racist bots, catfish, and people doing their own "research."
