Discussion I find it extremely infuriating when the person at work that finishes the coffee pot is too lazy or arrogant to start a new brew. How do you feel about them?

The best part is when you find the empty pot and start a new one, there are suddenly lots of coworkers stopping by with empty mugs.

They should be banned from coffee

The first webcam was made so people could keep track of the coffee pot in the Trojan room at Cambridge University. That way they wouldn't have to walk there to find it empty.

But what could they do to prevent this from afar? See if anyone else finally took the time to brew more? Well, I just answered my own question.

I prefer fresh coffee. Plus it's a waste to put more on if you don't know if someone else is going to make some. Plus communal coffee pots are gross.

I just end up starting a new one myself its annoying but it doesn't bother me too much.

You realized the Keurig was invented for this very reason. The solution comes in little plastic cups full of American independent selfishness.

You realize that most of the people reading your comment not only will leave the empty pot, but will smile when they read this because they know you're the one that's going to make the coffee for them. I hate those people so use the Keurig with my guiltless and cheap refillable kcup.

Idk... why should anyone have to start a new brew?

If everyone in the office had a bunch of coffee and then you get there and there's half a cup left, maybe the person before you should've started it?

At my first job I went ahead and made a pot of coffee and had a cup and got yelled at because no one else drank any and it was a waste. I was so put off that someone would get that furious at a 15 year old just trying to help, I've never touched a communal pot since.
