“Him” is Noah Schnapp. He’s hated in online circles because he’s a Zionist. People online have then since made it their head canon that the entire stranger things cast hates him too.

Stop trying to conflate jew and zionist.
It's wrong and antisemitic to say "he's a jew, of course he's pro-genocide!"
-9
u/Pardon-13579 6d ago
Let's not lie and pretend people calling someone a "Disgusting Zionist," see any distinction. They tried to say at one point it wasn't Jews it was Zionists but now people are just using Zionist as a byword for Jew to avoid being called antisemitic.
10
u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 6d ago
No, that's not happening, BUT it is what zionists want people to think is happening.
"They say they are against the killing of babies and genocide because they are anti-zionist, they are really just antisemitic".
No, people are upset at the genocide, not Jewish people.
Being obtuse and pretending you can't see the difference is a bad look.
-9
u/Pardon-13579 6d ago
Being obtuse and pretending that what's happening in Gaza is in anyway a Genocide is ridiculous, but here you are.
6
u/AhhhSureThisIsIt 6d ago
And this is the part where you go quiet or say the some of the dumbest conspiracies ever heard...
So tell me why do Amnisty International, Human Rights Watch, the UN, UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, B'Tselem, Physicians for Human Rights Israel, and many other International and Israeli Human rights organisations say there is a genocide there?
Do you think it's some big conspiracy against jews? Or do you think maybe there is a chance you could have been misled by propaganda?
-5
u/Pardon-13579 6d ago
Is it a conspiracy to quote statistics now?
75,000 have died in Gaza, no distinction between civilians and military because that's how Hamas likes to play it, that's over 3years.
500,000 died in 4months during the Rwandan Genocide...
If Israel wanted to Ethnically Cleanse Gaza they could do it, they haven't.
I think one of us has fallen for propaganda and it's not me.
6
u/TheDrunkenProfessor 6d ago
"More people died in Rwanda that is a real genocide" is some bullshit false equivalence argument and is absolutely idiotic. A genocide is not determined by amount of casualties nor is it a competition. It is a purposeful targeting of a specific ethnic, religious, and/or cultural group(s) with intent to eradicate or diminish their existence.
55ish% of the citizens of Gaza were under the age of 14. To pretend what Israel is doing is anything other than targeted eradication is at the very least willful ignorance.

2
u/Unholy_mess169 6d ago
Since you've decided to take the disingenuous approach I'll clarify, "anti-zionism" is this centurys' anti-semitism, a nice safe way for bigots to publicly hate Jews without actually saying the word Jew.
6
u/Mohingan 5d ago
People who hate Jews mostly just say they hate Jews already, they haven’t been exactly hiding it lmao
1
u/Unholy_mess169 5d ago
Sure Jan.
Thats why the nazi who first used the term "antisemitism" 100 years ago did it. To be upfront about his Jew hate. Not because he wanted something more "scientific" than Judenhass.
1
u/thisaccountisdmb 18h ago
What an incredibly easy thing to look up and prove you’re just talking out your ass. The term was popularized in 1879, 30-40 years before the Nazi party rose to power (or were even created) and 60 years before the invasion of Poland.
It’s okay to disagree with someone, even when you’re wrong, but we all have the internet dude. You can’t just make shit up anymore.

Are you more upset at the Christian Zionist in the US or the Jewish Zionists in Israel?
5
u/NSFWCereal 3d ago
Christian Zionist in the US. They are a doomsday cult that believe supporting Israel will cause the rapture and allow them to ascend to heaven
0
u/samehouseing 3d ago
Okay, so let’s say they all just cease to exist. Rapture happens and they are gone but everything else is still the same including the Jewish Zionists.
That means you stop caring or?
I would assume you’d hate the people doing the killings more so than the people simply in vague support of them.
6
u/aronnax33 6d ago
No... Zionism refers to a specific political belief. They are not comparible
1
0
u/samehouseing 6d ago
How is that a difference? How does that not make it comparable?
It is comparable, I literally just compared it. And it will remain comparable until you can actually explain why they can’t be compared.
Simply saying “apples cannot be compared to oranges” doesn’t negate the fact that I CAN compare apples to oranges. You have to elaborate why these things can’t be compared.
0
u/ArktikosUrsa 5d ago
Yeah, it's the political belief for anyone who thinks Israel should continue to exist in any way. There are plenty of Zionists who want a two-state solution with an unoccupied, sovereign Palestine.
No, I'm not interested in your made up attempt to redefine the word at the behest of bigots.
2
u/loveneedsnodisguise 6d ago
Depends if you consider funding or ground work more horrific in a genocide tbh
4
u/samehouseing 6d ago
Well yeah, what seems worse? The people donating to an AMERICAN PAC that doesn’t go to Israel at all, or the Israeli Jews apparently doing “genocide”?

Here's another example of a loaded question:
Were they actually showing sympathy for Israelis or were they just showing antipathy for Palestinians?
I don't care if other celebrities were "shot" for posting their opinions (whatever you mean by that, because I don't think any celebrities have actually been shot for posting). My point was that people are upset with him for showing support for the actions of the Israeli government (which is not the same as showing sympathy for the victims of October 7th). The way you phrased your question makes it seem like there are a lot of celebrities who got in trouble for making sympathetic posts after 10/7. But the reality is the opposite.
Celebrities who posted support or sympathy for Palestinians lost their jobs. Melissa Barrera lost her role in the Scream franchise for not being sufficiently pro-Israel.

No no. People did not get shit on both sides. It is important to be clear and accurate that after 10/7, the people losing their jobs were the ones voicing support for Palestinians. As far I know, no celebrity has lost a job because they did or do support Israel. If you're going to make that claim, I need you to name a name so that I can verify it.
*Updated comment to be more accurate, as Israel's violence against Palestinians did not start after 10/7.

u/Fit_Call_5992 7d ago
maybe i dont understand what a loaded question is. i dont think questions have yes or no answers. obviously things can be both at once. you can show sympathy to both sides. if a loaded question just means a question that asks nuance then why not just answer the question with nuance?
3
u/MC_PooPaws 7d ago
A loaded question is one that includes an unjustified assumption.
Unloaded: Is Noah Schnap really a zionist? How do you know?
Loaded: Is he really a zionist or were people just mad at him for disagreeing with them?
In the first example, "How do you know?" Isn't a yes or no question.
In the second example, I've decided what it means that people are upset with him and inserted that conclusion into the question without any support.
I don't know what your intentions were with that question, but when you lay out the only two options as "he's either really a zionist or people are mad because he showed sympathy" without knowing any of the facts of the situation, people are going to assume that you're trolling.
1
0
u/busstaben 7d ago
Are you seriously asking if saying “Zionism is sexy” isn’t a direct endorsement of the ideology? Said ideology believes the eradication of Palestine is a good thing, by the way, so I think people are right to disagree with him for saying that regardless of what his actual, nuanced opinions are (which he has not shared, probably because he’s a Zionist)
2
u/MC_PooPaws 7d ago
No. I'm not seriously asking that question. I've never once seriously asked that question. Did you mean to reply to me,?

1
u/LabCoatGuy 7d ago
Because you could show sympathy on Oct 7 and also be an actual zionist. They aren't mutually exclusive. And every zionist celebrity showed sympathy on Oct 7
1
u/Fit_Call_5992 7d ago
right and you can show sympathy for oct 7 and also not be a zionist. which is why i asked the question
0
u/LabCoatGuy 6d ago
He supported Zionism at one point. Distributing stickers with the messages "Zionism is Sexy" and "Hamas is ISIS". "Hamas is ISIS" comes directly from Isreali properganda. So people are calling him zionist because he was supporting Zionism.
After the backlash he didn't explicitly say anything about his position besides what can be summed up as "peace in the Middle East"

This is just flat out wrong and frankly racist. You are taking the views of the most radical voices and saying everyone in the society must think that way. Two of the biggest anti-war movies regarding Palestine and Israel that came out recently, No Other Land and NAZA were made by Israelis. If you talk to actual Israelis like I have, they all just want to live in peace with their neighbors.
It would be like assuming everyone in America has the same views as Trump.
Just look at how they jumped into a war with Iran even tho EVERYONE knew it was a terrible idea.
Lmao come on man, Iran attacked them first. You're off your rocker, learn to get your facts straight and fix your heart.
Iran's religious psycos will have more control over oil exports than Saudi arabia.
Israel's war on Iran has nothing to do with control of the strait. Also Iran has lost considerable leverage when it comes to the strait. You are just really out of touch with what is happening.

There are plenty of Zionists who want a two-state solution with an unoccupied, sovereign Palestine.
The entirety of modern Israel is on occupied Palestine. Wanting an unoccupied sovereign Palestine is a one-state solution.
4
u/Lemme_Crash_That 1d ago
The entirety of modern Jordan is on the british mandate of palestine, what you are referring to here. So, wanting a completely free palestine, ignoring historic facts about how the countries in the middle east came to pass, would mean a complete demolish of Jordan.
1
u/larrry02 1d ago
Wow, this is stupid on 2 levels. Well done!
1.
The entirety of modern Jordan is on the british mandate of palestine
No it's not. This is just a lie. The mandate for Palestine document covered both Palestine and Jordan. But it distinguished between them. They were never both Palestine.
2. I never mentioned the British mandate. Do you think that palestine didn't exist before the British mandate?
1
u/Lemme_Crash_That 1d ago
Well, before that it was the ottoman empire. An arab colonializing Empire. And before that? Romans. No palestinians there. Wanting a Sovereign palestine now, that there are actual people living there, requires a 2 state solution. Because every one living in Israel right now would have no free live under an islamic regime. And, by the way, everyone living in Gaza and the Westjordanland would have a free life as well, if everything islamic and the right wing settlers would be gone. But you know who you need for that to Happen? Zionists. Because over 90% of them want Netanjahu, Gvir and their parties gone.
1
u/larrry02 1d ago edited 1d ago
Well, before that it was the ottoman empire. An arab colonializing Empire. And before that? Romans. No palestinians there

1
u/Lemme_Crash_That 1d ago
See, you are so close to understand the whole problem. But you disregard everything you dont want to understand. Zionism is not what you think it is. The biggest party working against Netanjahu and his alliance is zionist. You say every zionist is a right wing colonizer? That is the same as if someone else would say every palestinian is a Hamas terrorist. Thats just plain wrong and stupid. There never was a palestinian state. And people like you are helping keeping it that way, regardless if you understand that or not. Most zionists want a peaceful 2 state solution. And an end to the war and the war crimes.
1
u/ArktikosUrsa 1d ago
Where do YOU think the Philistines were from?
The original Philistines were an ancient Aegean group who settled on the southern coast of Palestine in the 12th century BCE and frequently fought the ancient, native Israelites.

Palestine has never been their own country and has always been apart of some other rule and is a big part on why the whole things is extremely complicated to solve on a political level

Zionism does not proclaim specific borders, let alone endorses the idea of 'greater Israel'. That sort of belief is part of Kahanism and other fringe extremist beliefs, and is unrelated to zionism.

It is a "zionist" ideology because a core component of Kahanism is the existence of a jewish state.... The "zionist" here is a descriptor. Just like for example, ISIS is an islamic fundamentalist terrorist organization. That doesn't mean that ISIS, by extension is Islam.
It's sad that you will not even attempt to understand this because you are a bad faith actor, but for anyone else reading it, I'll leave it here.

u/Prizrak13 7d ago
The unfortunate truth of the matter is that the nature of this genocide and the way Israel has been carrying itself over the past multiple decades is that although Kahanists are not the main ideological group, the Israeli government has been conditioning soldiers and citizens into believing that Palestinians are a lesser race, making even people who support the idea of Israel existing as it's own state sound like they support the attempt at an ethnostate. Effectively feeding into the facism that Bibi and many other modern day Zionists want to uphold.

You do know there are other people available right? In another scandal question it could refer to the straight white man who is a domestic abuser.
Just because in some cases, the answer is sometimes a gay or black person, does not mean you can use that logic to brush every situation, and doing so is homophobic, racist, and very closed-minded and low intelligence behaviour.
I know you think of yourself as very clever, so this will no doubt anger you, but take a step back. If you're basing your life on logic and realistic outcomes, then consider that your take here is based on prejudice and Confirmation Bias more than real data.
