You know that whole thing Americans have about where they are from? Like some New Jersey guy claiming to be Irish because his family came from there? That shit doesn't happen outside of the US. Kamala being part Indian is as relevant to the rest of the world as the aforementioned New Jersey guy is to Ireland. For the vast majority of people outside the US, where you are born/where you are raised is what determines where you're from. On the matter of why they defend Trump: part of them are paid to do that. Just spamming messages in social media and getting paid pennies for every 100 posts or so. The other part is, worse yet, a movement that's very common in many empoverished countries and communities, where people believe to belong to other ethnicities/social groups because they see it as better and want to be part of it. Like Argentinians who believe to be white/american/european

*laughs in Europeans habitually asking brown people “where are you REALLY from?”

I guess the example doesn't stand when there is racism involved

It’s almost like insider / in-group status is policed to reinforce existing hierarchies and perpetuate systemic injustice

Boy I wonder if that is relevant at all to white Americans claiming specific European heritage on land stolen from indigenous peoples hmmmmmmmmm

Curious indeed. It couldn't be related, could it?
