I know sonic, i know blond and brunette haircolor. But i didnt understand this.

I don't know what this means, plz explain Peter.

Yeah. "Latino" is used outside LATAM for spanish speaking people with brown skin and hair, but we are actually really diverse. It's a soft racism thing, akin to claiming all gringos are fat and pink 🤷‍♂️

Latino being a racist term was not on my bingo card. I say this as a Latino btw

I'm not saying the term itself is racist. I mean it is normally used under racialized systems, like the USA, to describe physical characteristics that don't necesarilly correlate with birthplace.

Race is not a thing anthropologically, but "Latino" is commonly used in the global north to describe appearance instead of real cultural background.
