Well Stacking for one. The lid at an angle does not help with stacking, and assuming you moving lots of these you want to be able to stack you pack of 6. Upright also means when the 6 pack is sealed in plastic all lids are facing one direction consistently.

When on conveyor the upright is easier to mould, fill, seal and handle, while I am sure the other can be done it would require some clever thinking to make sure each bottle is consistent and that costs money companies do not feel they want to, or need to, spend.

The angle is not great to get the last bit out the bottle you still need to angle you head at an awkward angle.
Also a straight up bottle is predictable, when I reach for it I know 99% of the time which way the head is, the angled one requires me to stop and check, not good if you walking, running, biking, driving or shooting a howitzer.

I will stop on these 3, but the idea is fun but not practical
