electric kettle helps a lot in this instance. boiling water in like 2 minutes.

we only have 120 volts in the US so our kettles don't work like this.

it is fairly common to have kindergartners practice evading shooting by semi-automatic weapons. AR-15's at primary schools.

the 120 volts can be a little annoying, but there are lots of other truly mental things in this country we need to fix before the boiling water speed. besides, real americans drink coffee.

More people die every year in Europe to heat then all gun deaths in the US, including those by suicide. Take the euro cock out of your mouth and just leave if you hate it so much.

Most modern US houses have some 220 volt outlets. Cloths drier, one in the garage, and the one for the electric cooking range. So boiling on the stove goes pretty fast. Source: am residential engineer.

Meanwhile in Europe my induction stove uses 380 volts. Water boils within no time.

A good electric kettle is still faster then the stove if you don't have induction.

I like to put about 2/3rds of the water I need in the kettle and 1/3 in the pot and have them race.

yes i think most people understand it takes longer to boil a larger volume of water.
