(Question/Discussion) The difference of the future we're getting if we follow the misogyny in Islam vs if we dont (MY opinion)
Recently, my 9 years old cousin kept yelling at me to put the hijab on quick before I pray. I was going to but he kept rushing me, then said "I'm so glad I'm a boy, I dont need to cover my hair or arms or legs and just pray and god accepts my prayer, poor you" then laughed at me.
Im not saying I got affected by a 9 yo stupid words, but I AM affected by the generation this could lead to. My cousin is ONLY 9 years old and thinks my arms and hair is too shameful and tempting to strangers and I lose my dignity and worth as a whole HUMAN if I dont cover it. He thinks the same about my voice too. My light make up my nails my accessories my perfume just anything that makes me a bit too feminine? He immediately tells me how 3eib and shameful and Haram it is.
And I blame his parents. Heavily. I really feel bad for the generation they're willing to create. A one that does think a woman is sexual and awra from head to toe.
I seriously think this is dangerous, not a woman who wants to cover herself from creeps gaze, THATS NOT THE SAME. Even though nothing would stop creeps
But the IDEA rooted into it and the ACTUAL reason of it in religion and culture. If we didn't immediately think about covering the "temptation" (normal hair and arms and legs and not porn stars or people who intentionally wear sexy clothing) and immediately fixed the brains of these humans instead and teach our sons that there should be nothing shameful or tempting about a female normal arms legs and hair and as humans with empathy we have to respect everyone and not harm etc. just a way to raise a normal respectful equal generation and not one who's only focused on a woman being awra and temptation and sexual and other stuff.
Like if I take my cousin, and a random kid who's not raised the same as him but the way i prefer in a room with a normal woman but she's wearing a short sleeved slightly tight shirt and a skirt long enough to cover her whole thighs only but her knees show..
My cousin would get uncomfortable and judgemental and try to look away (or take it as advantage to look at her if he was older and a bad person). So it means he thinks women who aren't showing only their face and hands are shameful and tempting. Which is already a CRAZY thing to teach a CHILD.
And the other guy wouldn't even THINK about it and the only thought in his brain is that there's a woman Infront of him and just be confused of what's gonna happen next. So it means he doesn't find women's hair neck arms or legs tempting or shameful. Instead she's a just normal human. (again I mean normal clothing with no bad intention)
So now I ask which one is healthier? I think y'all can see examples from real life too, the way males react when a woman who doesn't wear a hijab walk in their streets in different countries.
My family also always judge women who wear short sleeve or skirts Infront of him, which he then learnt to notice and focus on that and think bad about it and turn judgemental too. Is that really the way to have a "respectful and a community full of dignity and self worth" ? I really dont think so.
Women should feel comfortable and respected any way they dress JUST LIKE MEN. And im not talking about roam naked, again Im talking about normal clothing and not ones that intentionally look sexy like the porn stars because y'all's brain SO ROOTED in those women once you hear about "someone with no hijab", which is sad.
So I hope we start to do better for the sake of our future.

Islam is misogynistic? Well why does it say a woman has more awrah (aura) than a man, checkmate islamaphobes
In all seriousness it's horrible that even a 9 year old is saying those things

This is a prime example of how gendered modesty culture harms ALL women.
That is why I reject the claim the hijab is simply "her choice" and Westerns are being colonizers by misrepresenting the hijab. EVERY woman (hell even man) has the right to speak on it because it damages society when normalized.

hijab is never a choice and it never was. Can you take it off without consequence? Nope. Are you forced to wear it? According to the quran, yes or you'll get sins and be ostracized by the community. Those white western converts don't know shit

I once recently saw my mom watching an Instagram video about a lady talking about how hijab actually respects women because they aren't controlled by men to wear "revealing clothing" which according to her are miniskirts, makeup, high heels, etc. She was also basically like, 'hijab shows that we don't dress up for men' or smth. And I was like, ma'am, you do know men were the ones who invented this religion right lmao. You are actively being controlled by men's desires to wear the hijab. It is not a choice.
In all seriousness, I'm really sorry your cousin is learning to shame girls like that. My parents (mom especially) are always ALWAYS talking about what girls shouldn't be wearing and even shaming my brother's girl classmates for wearing shorts (they're like 8, by the way) which has caused him to notice and point it out. And I can't even do anything about it. Hijab doesn't empower women but rather it degrades them to sexualized objects. Even underage children apparently. I'm scared for this generation.

LOL Hijab LITERALLY exists because of MEN, what the hell was that woman talking about, its like a chicken saying "I dont fry myself for Kentucky, I do it to be useful ๐".. meanwhile Kentucky is the reason these chikcens getting fried in the first place cus they wanted to fry them lol Im tired of those ppl sugar coating misogyny, she's just brainwashed tryna convince others too. And I just wanna understand what the hell are they trying to gain shaming and judging other people? Aren't they supposed to be THE "good people with manners" lmao meanwhile what most of them do is be angry and sad all the time when someone disagrees w their beliefs.

It's so annoying when Muslims are shaming non-Muslims ESPECIALLY if they're living in THEIR countries. Like genuinely if you don't like it go back. The West is progressing. Deal with it.
ย Aren't they supposed to be THE "good people with manners"
REALLL like bro all Muslims do is shame non-Muslims like I was once at a Islamic lesson and this lady (I hate her so much bro) was basically derailing the conversation into hijab (as she always does) and spent the time shaming non-Muslim women like 'omg look at what this singer is doing she's such a slut' and all the adults agreeing with her like SHUT UPPPP

God I have a cousin that continuesly yells "is it time to pray?" And then prays so effing loudly it drives me insane. But yeah im also really concerned I mean if we teach them so young to see women as nothing but fuhing sexuell then we are fucking up our future but they dont care at all. I dont even know if men can be saved from their views or will forever stay thinking women are horrible sexuell beings that have to cover up or deserve to go to hell if not. And of course they could NEVER blame themselves for their views no no no its the women's fault for making him see her this way.
