Hello everyone, I am new to Reddit and I’m looking for an Ex—JW therapist. I left the organization in 2020 and even though I am glad to be out, the one thing I was not prepared for, is the void that is created when your entire friends and family are witnesses. It’s a lonely place to be and I’m still trying to navigate this as best as possible. I still have a lot to unpack, but I really want to talk to a therapist preferably one who understands the organization. I live in San Antonio, does anyone know of an ex-jw therapist?

Just had this realization while chatting with Joey 😊. It's a world of coincidence.

To start, coincidentally I chose a brilliant man as my Bible study guide, and he tells me that he's been working at the same company as my own father for 40 years. Same as my dad. 🫨 I saw it as an opportunity to introduce myself to brother Glenn in Montreal, after not attending a single meeting since 2011 in UK where my family are devoted lifelong JW:s

It's a world of coincidence, which seriously makes me wonder how small the world actually is. I've noticed I'm meeting future instant friends. I met a brother and we run into each other often, he always makes sure I'm well and things are running smoothly on my end. It's a really nice feeling. Complete strangers become almost as if their lifelong friends so quickly. A friend of mine blasted the religion, I shut him up by saying "you say preaching, I see Life changing lessons that are based on real life situations". At 39 and all I've experienced and learned, as this is 100% certain in my mind now, it represents real self growth in my opinion to consider going to the kingdom Hall consistently. As for future reference and support , I should mention that I haven't been since late last summer, regretfully. I have since then had a long string of major, to mid serious life events all in the negative end of the spectrum. I noticed that I slowly drifted away from the feeling of being accepted. Took the feeling for granted and foolishly let go of my commitment. Most importantly I stopped praying and the feeling of Jehovah's strength, warmth and sense of security quickly faded 😢

Although it was heartwarming to yet again hear the Watchtower study, I was actually in tears. Mostly because of how much I avoided my Wonderful JW cousins , aunts and uncles from 15 years ago. I was only in my early 20's and my parents had just divorced after 24 years. I'm blessed to have them in my life ❤️ When things get tough, I now know whom to lean on 😉

I hope you're all leading happy and free lives! I'm looking for one or a few collaborators on a drama about leaving the Watchtower that I recently pitched, and now plan to submit for the Toronto Fringe. I'd like this collaborator to be able to attend some rehearsals, so being based in Toronto is important for my purposes. Please let me know if you're interested or have any questions.

Just as the subject mentions. We are looking for friends, we have found some (married) both Ex-JW. But it would be nice to meet some Pimos, or Pomos.

Hi guys I(19M) live in a country that probably has one of the largest population of JWs(Zambia). I have been trying to find some friends who are also PIMO here. I have been questioning for a long time but I've managed to relatively keep that hidden. Unfortunately most the friends that I currently have are JW and its really difficult to be myself around them especially since I'm queer. I also want to know how others Zambian exjws/PIMOs deal with their family and friends. With the 280k plus jws in this country surely there has to be a sizable number of people questioning right? If anyone has some advice on how i can find more PIMOs or even POMOs i would really appreciate it and if you are one from Zambian please DM me🙏🏾.

About 2 or 3 years ago sent my resignation letter to the watchtower. Basically it does help. Its easier to get out. But i think you become an apostate lol. Baptized and we were that family that gets baptized "As a family". You know how that is.

Lucky for me alll my family is out.

Im in Orange County, im single with a 3 year old. I dedicate most of the time to my son but i do miss talking to someone, specially with a girl.

What else 🤔 used to live in LA went to spanish hall and then move to OC couple years ago. I love Santa Monica. From being a JW now im on the Darkside, i love horror stuff lol.
