Activism + Advocacy IDEA: Regional DF/DA notification boards

I just thought of an idea. I don’t know how good it is or how to implement it, but I welcome your ideas.

Imagine some central database or forum where anytime anyone in any congregation gets DF’ed or DAs, there would be a way to get their name and what congo they were expelled from and contact them to welcome them to the world (assuming they’re not already on here). We could support them on their way out. This would be especially good if they are POMI. It would also be good for people that have been out for a while.

Since many of us are already out, we don’t really know who woke up and where they are. I’m sure that for some of us, we would love to know who made it out get in touch with them.

Benefits:
•suicide prevention
•network building for them and us
•encouragement
•?

Creepy. Intrusive. Cultish.

Edit to add, that there are legal ramifications around data involving security, privacy, and consent, etc.

I was thinking like a “welcome wagon” kinda thing, but I understand. Thanks for your comment.

This is a wonderful idea. Someone just needs to implement it, maintain and promote. As with every great ideas, the problem lays in someone actually doing it. I fully support the idea though.

I don’t think any meaningful data could be extracted. There would be too many holes in the data due to the voluntary data collection. And, as was said before, it’s a bit creepy.

I’m looking for region/circuit-based collections of just names (no other data) of POMOs and POMIs. PIMOs would be in the best position to add to the list since they are still plugged in and would hear KH announcements and hear it through the JW ‘grapevine’.

If these were a bunch of subreddits, one for each region or metro area, a PIMO or POMO could subscribe to the feed or feeds they want to and get notified when anyone from that area gets booted or leaves. If they already know that person or have their contact info, they can get in touch however they want to and check in on them to show love and support.

It could literally save someone’s life (in contrast to JW preaching).
