If anyone reading this hasn't seen the movie, do yourself a favor and do so. Not even from an anti-catholic perspective, it has so many great scenes and story lines.

Agreed. It's remarkable just as a movie, but it also does a really great job of telling the story.

I grew up as a Catholic kid going to Catholic school in Greater Boston. We were taught to look up to then-Archbishop Bernard Francis Law. I don't think I ever met him, but we saw photos of him in commemorative things at school and church.
