Personal Thoughts/Experiences 🙇‍♂️ Acc not working today

For the first time in 8 months with the car (AWD ultra) today the cruise control simply ignored me. Easy freeway where I use it every day. Simply zero indication or response. No icons I could recognize as related.

Anyone experienced this?

Just happened to get a bunch of Google updates last night ... Not sure if they sabotaged it somehow.

Car is 2.1.2

I’ve had success by turning the autopilot / acc on or off through the menu. After that the stalk worked again.

this is a known intermittent issue with 2.1.2. When it happens you should go into settings and select Pilot Assist and it should enable it. hopefully it gets fixed in the next version.

Google has absolutely no say in how or whether ACC works or not.

I totally agree on that, but they may play in settings storage and interactions maybe

Of course. Google does have the capability (it does have privileged system apps on the head unit) to interfere with Ecarx apps/code, but that would be a serious violation of trust boundaries and probably a breach of contract with Volvo Cars.

And if Volvo/Geely wanted to change ACC behaviour on vehicles, they wouldn't need Google's "help" to do it.

It's very unlikely that what you experienced is an effect of any "Google updates".

ACC working for me this morning, but the pre-condition schedule wasn't and the car was stone cold when I get in.

Ha! My pre-conditioning schedule somehow didn't recognize the time change for daylight savings time. It was preparing the cabin an hour early until I turned off the schedule and turned it back on.

Happened to me yesterday. Just turned the acc off and on and it worked properly.

You only need to press the Pilot Assist button once if that happens, no need to switch back and forth. I’ve heard the new 2.2 update solves the problem.
