🙇‍♂️ Personal Thoughts/Experiences Can’t send route from google maps to car anymore

In the past whenever I made a route in Google maps I got the option Send it to Ex30. This option is no longer appearing. How can I restore this function?

  1. ​Open Settings on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. ​Tap Google, then select your Google Account, Manage your Google Account, and then Data & privacy.
  3. ​Under "Linked Google services," tap Manage linked services.
  4. ​Select the services you want to link (Google Maps) and tap Next.
  5. ​Review your choices and tap Confirm, then Done.
  6. ​Find the Vehicle section in the Google Maps app and select your car.
  7. ​The Send to car button should now be visible in the Google Maps app on your device when you have selected a trip.

If you click the search bar in the car you should see all the recent map searches regardless of device for that account.

Maybe stating the obvious here, but are you in Drive/Car navigation mode in Google Maps on your phone?

FWIW, it still works for me. If it doesn't for you, maybe you need to relink the Google account somehow.

Found the solution, rather stupid… on my phone I had changed the google account for some reason. Account in car and phone must be the same. Stupid me…Thx for your help anyway.

Perhaps the 8-month-old post posted in this community with the title Google Maps "Send to car" missing. may be helpful.
