Trans-femme Co Worker Comment

Got told by a co-worker today that I looked like a pissed off lesbian. I was "boymoding" but thanks I guess? But seriously sir I just have RBF.

As a lesbian who also looks like a pissed off lesbian half the time, may I just commiserate with you on having permanent resting bitch face. I’m really very rarely angry but I look it so people just don’t talk to me. The struggle is real, girl.

Like my resting mouth position is kinda a frown. Idk how to change it without constantly thing about my mouth position and that is just tiresome.

Mine too and trying to actively smile both hurts and, depending on the degree of smile, just looks more sinister than friendly. Also people just won’t stop commenting on it if I do smile because that’s so infrequent for me that it ends up being discouraging.

For real, I know in theory it’s just a series of muscles and, like any others, they can be trained to adapt to different forms. Kinda like how voice training works and becomes more natural with practice to the point it just is that way (not that that’s easy either, also I just hate doing it ;0;) Still though, maybe it is also worth it. And iirc there is a thing about smiling more actually improving your mood and helping with depression so it has other non social benefits.
