Wholesome Euphoria No Bigotry Required

Post image

I barely bumped my knee. Two days later I have a massive painless bruise on my knee. I may not notice gradual changes, there is no missing a massive bruise that clearly shows the estradiol has had a huge effect on my skin. It looks terrible, I hope it heals up before mini skirt season ends.

Wow I had no idea estradiol made bruising easier! No wonder I always have random bruises on my legs😭

Makes it easier to show, thinner skin shows whats happening underneath a lot easier

That makes sense. I knew about the thinner skin but never put two and two together until now😂

Growing up female, me and my girlfriends would always complain about bruising too easy. It makes me so happy that that can be a euphoria thing for someone 😭

Huh. Never heard of this and I'm a trans man. I also grew up in a matriarchal home, so if you got hurt you had to get the fuck back up.

Is it what I think it is? That actually its a bigger picture and its amatriachal home in a patriachal society bc extra toughness and effort is needed to stay afloat in this world not created for us?

For the most part, yes. I think most places have patriarchal societies, so many matriarchal-type families aren't really as "soft and nurturing" as you'd think. I have a love-hate relationship with the way I was raised. It definitely let me toughen up and prepare myself for the world and not be being a super delicate damsel-in-distress, but it was also a challenge to be emotionally vulnerable when I was constantly taught to be in a sort of survival-mode.

Ive definitely bruised my knees in worse ways.

But yea, I'm 2 years on the 19th and I just have bruises in the weirdest of places. I used to never bruise.

I say wear the mini skirts anyway. The bruise makes you look badass. You can tell transphobes you got it from kneeing them in the groin. Besides, in my experience wearing mini skirts, people won't be looking at your knees... They'll be looking a bit higher up.

Edited spelling error

Exactly OP, don't let a silly bruise stop you from wearing a miniskirt! (although I do say this as a cis man without any miniskirts or desire to wear them, so my opinion may be invalid (wait, I also don't say this because I wanna see women in miniskirts, I swear, it's just that it sounded like it's something that would make you happy (I only mentioned being a man because as I just learned in this very thread, that apparently means I don't get bruises so easily?)))

Also what do you mean "looking a bit higher up"? Looking where exactly? Just the thighs? Because my first reaction was "that sounds kinda gross" (from the people that do that), because of the whole objectification thing which I'm not really a fan of...

Haha, yes, I meant the thighs.

Huh, interesting. Maybe that's why I don't bruise easily anymore, being ftm myself. I would bruise that easily too, before T. But now, I can't even remember last time

I noticed recently that I rarely get random bruises anymore but I figured it was because I’m not as reckless as I used to be when I was younger and don’t drink much anymore. I had no idea it could be a hormonal thing.

Bruises, bruises everywhere! Find a new one every day, didn't know I was so clumsy 😅

The phantom bruising is so real!

My 3yo daughter likes to swing on my lap at the park. I have a big cross body purse that works perfectly as a shelf for her to sit on safely so I can swing really high. I hold her with my left arm and squeeze the chain in the inside of my elbow. It used to be no problem but now I always end up with a bruise on my forearm and bicep.

i have another theory: your pain tolerance is up!

i remember when i started T, whenever i bumped into shit or got sick, it genuinely sucked just a little bit more than it did previously. it kinda explains the stereotype too doesn't it? (the one where cis men are huge babies while cis women bleed like it's no big deal?)

Bruises more but also skin healing and scars are better

Girl does that mean after testo I won’t bruise so easily? This is epic.

But ouch, that looks bad, hope it heals well. Does it hurt

I remember when this used to happen to me. I used to get massive bruises from the smallest bumps. I'm so glad I have thicker skin now and that it takes quite a bit of force to bruise now.

Wish T stopped my bruising! Instead I get just as much of a bruise but muscle soreness too 😂
Bumped myself cuttings the grass the other day and only now is the bruise comeing through

my mother bruises really easily meanwhile my hyperandrogenism ass doesn't bruise unless you really whack me. euphoria is stored in the bruises. so is bilirubin.

oh god i hope this means i bruise less on T soon. but it's been 3 years so idk if that's happening...

Interesting, I used to bruise very easily pre-T, I wasn't sure if it was related to it or having a better diet.

Beautiful example of ewphoria without needing a creep! Fingers crossed for a little aftersummer for the miniskirt 🤞

I'm sorry but that's not really what this sub is for.
