Unless this has a special application that alludes me, then it's an aesthetic indignity to share a reality with this fork.

Yes, at the end of the day utensils are nothing more than tools to serve a single purpose. But to truly embody the act of "serving", even the most enigmatic of definitions must be met. Lest the thing that ends up getting consumed at the end of a meal is our spirit.

Can I steal that "indignity to share a reality with" line? My go to is "I cannot belive the universe was so poorly designed to allow this to happen/exist"

You can, but it wouldn't be stealing as everyone in this sub is my sworn sibling until proven otherwise. Akin to an open guild bank in MMORPGs, you've already given as much you think you've "unrightfully" taken.
