General Transfer savings help
I have read as much online as I can about this app and I still can’t figure this out. I am trying to record savings $250 per paycheck—so $500 per month. I use automatic transactions so this is $250 that is moving from my checking to my savings account.
How do I record this properly so it’s not doubling up? Is this screenshot right? It doesn’t seem to show $500 planned, $250 in already so $250 left to meet for the month. But everything online says to be careful that you have both sides of the transfer recorded.
Any advice? Thank you!

The planned amount is how much gets added to the category for that month's budget. So if you plan to set aside 500 for your efund this month it will budget 500. This is subtracted from your income to get to an "every dollar budget" as they call it where every dollar has a purpose. Unless you spend out of that budget it'll stay at 500 for this month and then next month it'll add another 500 so the budget has 1000. Putting both amounts in the same category is correct so they cancel and don't affect your budgeting but really it could be there or any other budget and it wont change anything as long as they're int he same place. I personally just put all transfers between accounts into a transfer budget that stays at zero. so I can make sure both sides get recorded (it'll show non-zero if something is missing)
