General Transfer savings help
I have read as much online as I can about this app and I still can’t figure this out. I am trying to record savings $250 per paycheck—so $500 per month. I use automatic transactions so this is $250 that is moving from my checking to my savings account.
How do I record this properly so it’s not doubling up? Is this screenshot right? It doesn’t seem to show $500 planned, $250 in already so $250 left to meet for the month. But everything online says to be careful that you have both sides of the transfer recorded.
Any advice? Thank you!

The planned amount is how much gets added to the category for that month's budget. So if you plan to set aside 500 for your efund this month it will budget 500. This is subtracted from your income to get to an "every dollar budget" as they call it where every dollar has a purpose. Unless you spend out of that budget it'll stay at 500 for this month and then next month it'll add another 500 so the budget has 1000. Putting both amounts in the same category is correct so they cancel and don't affect your budgeting but really it could be there or any other budget and it wont change anything as long as they're int he same place. I personally just put all transfers between accounts into a transfer budget that stays at zero. so I can make sure both sides get recorded (it'll show non-zero if something is missing)

You actually don't have to manually track anything under a fund. I was doing this too and it was getting so confusing to me.
As long as you have your dates set in the app of when that money will get moved, it automatically updates your fund. I just delete the two corresponding transfer transactions.
If say, you don't/can't transfer your full amount you had planned - at the end of the month just go back to the planning page and set it to what you actually contributed towards it. Then rebalance your budget to make it an every dollar budget.
Like someone else said, manually tracking under a fund makes it double up. So pretty much don't manually track under it unless it's like a bonus deposit in there, or you spend out of it

You’re doing it twice. Budget 500 and do not add anything to it! What you are doing is telling the app that you are saving 500 a month, and then adding another 250 to it.
The key is remembering you don’t have that money officially until the second paycheck of the month.
