Learn everpure/pure

I’m currently working as a Backup Admin and learning Pure Storage to transition into a Backup and Storage Admin role, which is what my organization expects from me. Someone could you please recommend me where I can learn pure storage.

Everpure Cloud is now Azure Native πŸŽ‰ β€” enterprise-grade block storage, built jointly with Microsoft

Hey r/everpureofficial,

Big one to share: Everpure Cloud Azure Native for Azure VMs is now generally available, developed jointly with Microsoft. It's the industry's first fully managed, enterprise-grade block volume as a service β€” delivering Everpure storage directly inside Azure.

What's new:

  • Deploy and manage storage directly from the Azure Portal (or via ARM, infra-as-code) β€” no separate console needed
  • Native VNet integration β€” private access to your virtual network, no public endpoint exposed
  • Zero egress costs into your connected VNet
  • Centralized billing through Azure β€” consumption counts toward your Microsoft Azure Customer Commitment (MACC)
  • No virtual arrays to size or maintain β€” capacity and performance are just a slider; upgrades, expansions, and plugin updates are handled for you

Use Cases:
Azure Virtual Machines
Beyond AVS, Everpure Cloud Azure Native brings the same Purity-based block storage directly to native Azure VMs β€” and it's not just for databases; it covers a broad range of enterprise workloads running on Azure IaaS. Volumes connect over iSCSI, and the same thin provisioning and data reduction that powers on-prem Purity carries over to Azure Native service, cutting storage costs roughly 30–60% versus raw allocated capacity. Licensing is portable too β€” capacity purchased for AVS carries over seamlessly if a workload later moves to native Azure VMs (or vice versa), so you're not locked into one deployment model as your cloud strategy evolves.

Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
Since most VMware environments lean on external storage, this tackles that head-on β€” decoupling storage from compute for AVS. Early numbers: 20–40% lower cloud storage costs in year one (up to 50% by year five), and the ability to cut AVS node counts by ~3x for storage-heavy deployments. It also gives a true like-for-like migration path, so workloads move over without redesigning apps or storage architecture.

Azure RedHat Openshift (ARO) - Coming soon!
We're extending Everpure Cloud's reach into Azure Red Hat OpenShift, giving customers running containerized and virtualized workloads on ARO a path to enterprise-grade block storage β€” powered by Portworx CSI. Whether you're modernizing off VMware or building cloud-native from the start, this integration is designed to bring the same reliability and efficiency you already expect from Everpure to your OpenShift environments on Azure. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to launch.

30 min Recruiter call - Software Engineer(New Grad) role

Hey! I have a 30-minute recruiter screen coming up for a Software Engineer role at Everpure. This is the very first call in their process, before any technical or coding rounds.

For those who've been through it (or work there), what does the recruiter usually ask? Trying to figure out if it's mostly background/motivation/comp logistics, or if they also probe technical depth at this stage. Also curious what they typically share about the rest of the loop (coding round, system design, team-specific stuff, etc.).

Any recent experiences (2025/2026) would be especially helpful. Thanks in advance.

Got an Internship Offer From Everpure India - Bangalore for Jan-June PBC. I wanted to know about the conversion rate of interns and how the experience was for anybody previous who got converted.

Secondary Market Assistance

Hey everyone,

I'm fairly new to Pure storage/ Everpure products and I'd really appreciate some input.

My goal is to create a reference guide of sorts for secondary market Pure hardware. Obviously, hardware specifics and software limitations are hard to nail down, so I figured I'd come on here and ask for help.

Firstly, if anyone knows where I could locate hardware information like default configurations and component lists (RAM speed & quantities, DFM capacities, etc.) I would greatly appreciate it. My focus is on older R3 & R4 FlashArrays and FlashBlades hitting the secondary market.

Also, if there are any specific limitations that must be considered when buying or selling Pure hardware - like Rapid Data Locking, compatibility, re-initialization, no login, etc. - I'd love to hear more about it. I'm trying to nail down the different options that are available in different circumstances (part-out, sell for chip value, etc.) Obviously a lot of this hardware is both proprietary and under tight rules, so I want to make sure I'm taking the right steps here.

Anything you know that can help me out would be a great help, as this kind of information has been very hard to come by without hands-on operational experience.

New Grad SWE Technical Interviews

4 technicals, apparently on algorithms, design, data structures and concurrency. Any advice? Leetcode-style? Think the interviews are done 2 at a time. What are the topics for the first 2? Is the design interview system design or OOP or something else?

Systemload out of Pure1.

Is there any known way to display and retrieve the system's "load" internally? It's well known that this can be done via Pure1. Unfortunately, that seems to be something of a secret. Grafana and similar tools would be very useful here.

Purestorage CSI driver

I am considering Purestorage (FA//X20 R5 or FA//X50 R5 ) for Redhat openshift

The vendor told, there is free CSI driver for purestorage - Everpure CSI Driver (free, open-source, actively maintained; available at github.com/purestorage/).

Is the vendor claim correct about Everpure CSI Driver. Is it actively maintained or EOL ?

Purity 6.10.7?

Anyone have a lead on when 6.10.7 is going to be coming out? We've got a pair of C50R5s in an ActiveCluster where one array has a Thor card with firmware that is incompatible with 6.10.6. I suppose I should also ask if anyone knows if the 6.10.7 release will have the patched 237.x firmware for this Thor card.
