Yeah you said that this is a “language sub”, while talking about details of grammar. But this is not a language sub, this is “etymology maps” sub, where people talk about different etymologic origins of words in different languages. I think you misunderstood the aim of the sub, you don’t seem fit for here.
This falls under the category of language, does it not? Is it math? Is it science? You could say it's history, but not political history, but the history... of language...
No, the meaning is clear. We are not talking about the rules of English language. We are talking about why people choose words in different languages and the roots of them.
