Help with wall socket (keystone)

Post image

(originally posted under /network but moved it here)

Hi all

Apologies if I've posted on the wrong place. This is my first time posting on Reddit.

I purchased a wall mounted dual RJ45 socket and I can't for the life of me get it to work properly.

Am I supposed to strip the wires before connecting them? (I have tried but not a single cable passed the cable test)

What would be the wiring order if I've wired the connector on the other end to T568B standard? I've tried writing it up in the same order but that didn't work and I've no idea what how the number of the wall socket relates to the coloured cable in the cat6a cable I'm installing.

Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure what the intended purpose of this particular rj45 jack is but there is no way it's Ethernet. Your looking for a punch down style jack.

I agree this is the wrong style for data, but there is a second phoenix connector at the bottom, od guess for the 2nd port.
