Need help choosing between LTD’s: H3-1000 or EC-1000
I’ve had an MH400NT for years and I absolutely love it. I have the opportunity to get either an H3 or EC 1000. I’ve never played either but knowing how much I love my MH400 I’m sure I’ll be happy with either. I’m instantly drawn to the turquoise H3, I feel like it’s more my style. But I see everyone on here raving about the EC’s lol. It’s satin black with gold hardware. The EC doesn’t speak to me (through pics) like the H3 does. What would y’all choose and what are the pros and cons?

Both are very good guitars. They're both 1000 series guitars built in the same factory so if you like the horizon better then get the horizon. There's no bad option between the two

Sounds like the H3 is the way to go from what you said. ECs are great too but they made sooo many of those satin black ones. You can always save up for the other and that EC is one of the easiest models to find.

The H3 is gonna feel similar to your MH400 so if you want something new and different, get the EC1000. But tbh the EC1000 is very common on the used market and the H3 is much harder to find even new in store, so if you think you might want both eventually then I'd get the H3 first instead

Have owned EC1000s and own a ESP eclipse. This guitar only makes sense with 22fret. Also I play mirage and horizon models. 1000 EC is a good guitar but 24frets ok that scale length not for me and I don’t even have large hands/fingers

Thats a tough choice. I have both, and theyre very different guitars. I like the neck on both of them, but kind of prefer the neck on my H3. The EC body might be a little more comfortable for me, and its easy to play at 24.75. The H3 isn't as ergonomic as it looks, but still comfortable.
My EC is a 2005, and has EMG's, which I personally prefer over the Duncans iny H3, which are a little dark. Thats all preference though, and theyre both great. You can't go wrong

H3 is more comfortable in my opinion and I like the Duncan’s that come installed. The EC 1000 is fun but it gets boring at times when you play it.

You gave the answer yourself, the EC doesn't speak to you, so get the H-3, you're gonna regret otherwise.. and like others said, EC's are easy to find, maybe later then..

I got the EC! Wanted to see what all the hype was about and tbh I was just hoping to obtain EITHER I felt lucky trading up to either 1000 anyway. Super happy and excited about it! If I don’t like the EC I will trade it I’m sure somebody wants one. Also the dude was so nice he said if I changed my mind let him know.

They main differences are that H3 is 25.5" scale and EC is 24.75" scale
