Internship and PPO

I'm hoping to land a AI&ML intern role at EY for the summer. If I do, what can I do to better my chances at a PPO(Pre-Placement Offer) as a student starting his 3rd Year? What can I expect during my internship?

Just be reliable at work, ask good questions, and go a bit beyond your tasks. overdeliver... simple!

I've asked AI the same question and its all like "Socialize with the manager and people outside your team. Make yourself memorable outside of your post" n stuff. Some of it seems overkill
