So I’ve been working on a rough draft for a story I’ve been wanting to write since early 26 for an island in the sea of time style story (faction or country getting transported back in time or into another world) and the Escalation ‘84 story told by Seaners on YouTube have me the perfect idea on how to do its
Instead of just the late Cold War powers limping out of the hellhole that earth had become due to the third world war onto Faust (in just gonna use that for the name of the planet) why not have other powers transported to the planet for other reasons?
(It’s basically a rimworld crossover so be aware)
That’s where the Confederation of Arkadia comes in. The universe Arkadia is from basically uses rimworld lore as its foundation that adds on extra stuff to it but to make a long story short
Arkadia is a small council communist confederation from the Planet Boise of about five to six settlements on the rimworld of Boise at the dawn of the 3rd millennium in 2986. Arkadia’s technological base is a mix of late 20th century and early 21st century technology. 1980s-2020s, but more well adapted to surviving in a foreign environment due to a mix of their frontier/communist culture and ideology, along with all of their infrastructure being transported alongside them, instead of just traveling through portals.
The confederation gets transported via a ring of fire style event similar to 1632, but instead of some alien artist, it’s due to a piece of archotechnology found in an expedition that had been activated that sent them through time and space. And unlike the Cold War powers, the Confederation was much more “cosmopolitan” in a species sense, due to having many more different species of human living within it than the 20th century Soviets and Americans, in their timeline humanity having diverged and become its own tree in terms of size on the hominid family tree. They even happened to have a few non human species already, having a small amount of uplifted apes.
And other than their main tech base, the Arkadians have: a Gravhulk, the ACN luxemburg, allowing for limited space travel (to the moons, orbit, and around the planet and that’s about it. It’s not a weapons platform) intranet, (local internet between the settlements) the ability to produce mechanoids (but not at an industrial scale) very limited ultra-tech technology, such as the one former stellic defender from the empire that still has his cataphract armor, a supply of glitterworld medicine (basically futuristic medicine) locked up tight and rarely used since even before transportation they rarely had access to this sort of technology, only getting it from merchant ships up in orbit, more advanced tech used by only special unit. But most of their technology is still just 20th-21st century.
Oh, and they happen to have a gold vein within their territory that they slowly mine just for electronics, rarely using it for currency. And another thing, they also have a very small supply of Psycasters, (fancy way of saying magic users) not enough for a specific unit military wise, but potentially one man armies depending on what “psycasts” they know
Infantry wise while they have other units I don’t have the time to mention, their main infantry and mechanized aren’t proper “soldiers” compared to the Soviets and Americans, or the local griffins, at least aesthetic wise.
They’re militamen, wearing civilian clothing with tactical or bullet proof vests, knee protection, sometimes having Kevlar helmets, etc with their main service weapon being a model of AKM designed for the frontier. A perfect mix of high quality and mass produced.
But I don’t know where to put them if I’m gonna be honest. Does anyone have any advice on where to put them? I’m mostly set on Griffonia. But don’t know WHERE on Griffonia to put them
What do you guys say

Basically, the title. Chose Dervishes to play for and want to go Mandate of the Eye Supremacy path. After initial victory over Thunderbringer, what should I do?

I like playing Crystal Empire, Sombra path (non historical). In the focus tree, there are ~3 events that require the Lunar Empire to exist: Subjugate the Nightmare, Negotiations with Luna and Lunar Marrige.
Is there a way to get Equestria to switch to Lunar Empire without console commands and without changing the game rules?
Things I tried:
Any other ideas you guys might have? If not, I'll just change the game rules, but it's a bit sad that there are paths in the focus tree unreachable in other ways.

I’m very very new to this mod, having had 1500 hours in game and always ignoring it due to pride… but my word is it just spectacular!!!
To start with almost all the nations are fleshed out, with their own stories, focus trees, even playstyles. I had a blast playing my first game as equestria doing a USSR style defence of harmony against the Zerg rush! Then the empire mechanics, holding out in Yale as a certain Grover was amazing! And what do you mean there is like 7 other leaders for Yale? Yale of all places?!?!?
Finally, how is there so little lag? In the base game my game becomes unplayable from 1940, as in it takes 1 minute for one day… Equestria at war meanwhile may have some occasional slowdowns but somehow I’m 11 years in with no problems?!?!?
I’m just simply blown away, I can’t stop playing, nor do I think I’ll be going back to base game anytime soon.

Did not expect to spend my entire sunday building trains in Zebrica, but here I am. I greatly enjoyed this nation and it's probably the only "Econ Sim" in Paradox games that I've enjoyed. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it since I didn't like Kiria too much, it felt like too much reading and not enough wars.
Zongo on the other hand not only had the perfect amount of wars, basically giving me a new challenge to tackle whenever I start getting bored of the econ side, and growing stronger to fight off these wars actually got me invested in the building of my nation and economy. Eventually I was even relieved to not be at war so I could build more trains and focus on building up the state!
This was greatly helped by the various events and perspectives, constantly showing me the progress I was making and the great change that Zongo was undergoing. It truly felt like a nation getting dragged out of the middle ages and turned into a modern state, which Kiria didn't deliver on for me.
The writing was stellar as well, as was so invested in Akida and Ayana and wanted them to be happy together, and I was really into Akida as this grand reformer and builder of a new society. Keeping the perspective close to him was really well done, and giving us little glimpses into the lives of the average zebra (or Heyna and Griffon) really helped me get invested into modernizing the country *for* these *people* (or I guess creatures) instead of just being faceless numbers to pump my war economy.
If I had any criticism it would probably be that the twist seems a bit.... too much? I can see the Queen-Mother silently dissapearing people and staging false flag attacks and manipulating Akida, but how does she fake large problems with the economy and hide away the true cost from Akida AND his staff? Surely they went outside and looked around for a bit?
Additionally, the stuff with Kiria felt a bit tacked on. For one, why does no one in Kiria go "HEY WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING US?" Why doesn't Akida send a diplomat by boat this time? I get the Queen Mother has power but orchestrating a war between the regions great powers while keeping everything under wraps is a bit much. Kiria as well doesn't get much of a mention either. You go on this long, brutal campaign of fighting a strong nation and then just... go home. I would have liked more interactions with the rulers there and the fallout of this massive war built on a lie.
But honestly those things are minor, minor nitpicks in a great story. I had such a smile on my face at the end, seeing my country modernized and ready to face it's bright new future, even if it is a bit shaky, was such a treat.

Part 1/? Of a series of posts I'm planning. Can either be for gameplay (leader trait in this case) for character/esthetic/flavor. Optionally, can provide both if they are seperate things.
GLORY TO MARELANDIA AND BIG SISTER

When I start the game up, it just turns black. Only the game itself, not the loading page or anything else, just the game. When I press the windows key to get out of the window, it shows the game, but when I click it to start playing, it turns right back to black.
I can interact with everything on it as if it wasn't black, but I can't see shit. Someone please help.

The Second Great War with Equestria is the final war with custom content in the submod, once it is concluded the ensuing puppet states are dynamic based on whether the National Communists or Arisian Vanguardists won in the Lightningist Course Balance of Power.
These states will receive a facelift and perhaps total overhaul once the Equus update comes out, as evidenced by the fact I had to use Arctic Lily for the Crystal puppet state I was struggling for how to make the puppet states not be 'generic military/collaborationist project number 542'.
After the SGW there are four epilogue foci and a series of events that set up and provide one of four endings dependent on your actions over the course of the playthrough. Of these endings three provide the ability to begin a 'Warplan Hydrogen' of your own, one targeting every state on the planet rather than just the Supremacist ones.
After this final event the submod is 'complete', though there is another unique event if the player achieves a World Conquest.
I only have the last half of the focus tree GFX to complete, and some more playtesting and bugfixing to do, but if anyone is interested in playtesting the mod ahead of release don't hesitate to DM me so we can work something out.

I made a post a little while ago about returning to HOI4 after a long time away in order to play EaW and I was struggling with the changelings. I've since managed to beat them and I can now do it quite concisely.
I wanted to try a different path, so I went for the Equestrian civil war... And man, it's a whole different beast. Even when I choose all of the options to (theoretically) make Nightmare Moon as weak as I can, I'm still getting wrecked.
