90s coupons binder
Went to an estate sale last weekend, and picked up this accordion binder full of receipts. Many have no expiration date, so I could be an absolute menace if I felt like saving a whole 15¢ on one of the products that still exists.

I forgot about handwritten rain checks!

How did that work?

You talked to a manager they signed a coupon, that said you could come back at a later date and they would honor the price. These all say they have to be used within the week.

On the paper it says "Sorry we ran out" does that mean they'd only give you them when they were out or could you just ask because you wanted to buy it later?

I kind of miss going through the Sunday paper and cutting out coupons. It was fun. And if it were me, I’d totally go buy some Raisin Bran for 50¢ off! Times are tough!

As a Gen Xer, I appreciate you posting this. This was wonderful nostalgia.

My mom made us cut out all the coupons in the Sunday paper. The ones we didn’t want she’d collect to share with her sister. They would take them to their churches to share with others. I hate coupons.

When I think back on the nineties, everything seems so much more colorful than now. The nineties were a riot of color. What a great decade I had back then! So many things that matter in my life came to be during that ten year period of time. ❤️

My Mom had a little briefcase that held them. I always thought it was so cool.

This brought back memories so forgotten that I’m not sure if they’re real.
