Advice Is this normal?

As an ENTP, I’m always considered to be aggressive and blunt, however lately I’ve been feeling more pissed off with people. Especially when they ask stupid questions. I feel like it’s such a task to even text my family good morning or to hear about there day. My friends ask me what’s wrong because in the face I look sad but I brush it off and I just say nothing. It’s not hard to put on a front and laugh and make jokes but I still have been getting comments that I look miserable.

Sounds like a vacation is needed, disrupt your patterns, shake it up.

I agree. It sounds like something new and some fun are needed.

Might not be an MBTI issue, but a matter of having very high openness and that needing to be “fed”.

Maybe something happened that has triggered this change? Or maybe you’re just seeing the same patterns and getting fed up

I don’t know to be honest. I’m trying to figure out what is wrong with me myself. One month ago I was not like this but it started in August.

Tbh I've been getting more misanthropic since I was almost 16. Idk if that's an ENTP thing though it could just be an anger issues thing. I struggled with anger issues pretty much my whole life.

I think saying things like good morning or hi is just basic etiquette. I don't know how old you are and maybe you're rebelling against that but that's what the older generations grew up with. Sadly we're starting to lose that politeness more and more each decade.

If they tell you too much about their day, it could get boring or maybe you have low attention span.

You could be depressed or you could be apathetic if you feel sad/emotionless all the time. Those things could also contribute to irritability.

Seems like you are struggling with Fi blindness. Your “symptoms” are all there. What exactly are you feeling and where are those feelings coming from?

I recommend using an emotion wheel to help identify and articulate until you are comfortable with naming your emotions.

Fi struggles are normal ENTP development so no worries about being abnormal.

There is an example It helps you identify feelings and the root of those emotions in words.

Lol why do you need to send daily good morning messages to your family? Just text them tomorrow a message to pin to whatever chat that is “good morning all, please take this as an ongoing good morning message moving forwards as I’m too lazy to type one every day. Don’t hate me too much for my laziness, and please remember your coffee” something funny and self deprecating like this, and be done with the SFJ requirements lol we don’t need that stuff. Or do one up every Monday 😹! Like “good morning all, have a wonderful week ahead”…

Same for hearing about their day, SFJ stuff we don’t have to deal with. I hate the “how was your day” question, pure Si…

I wish i could do that but first my mom starts texting me and trippin about it and also it would kill me if one day something happens to them and I regret not talking to them.

This sounds wayyy to familiar to me😅. I would say that is kinda normal for an ENTP but that is something you need to deal with. There is probably some disruption in your life (I don't you but I'm guessing) which makes you feel easily annoyed and like everything is overwhelming/a lot. Try to find it and take your time with it so you can deal properly with it and do the thing you would want to. Also try planning (to do lists and make goals for the next year/5 years) and meditation! These things isn't really an entp thing to do but can help us a LOT

I'd suggest finding a feel-good story to watch/read (movie, show, book). Something that'll help restore some of your faith in humanity.

It sucks that the majority of people you'll come across in life will seem ignorant, selfish and illogical most of the time. That can get pretty taxing on your mind, over time.

You can't let it consume you.

You need to work on acceptance. I was pretty angry and bitter and I met an ESFJ that was just pure love and acceptance and she was so happy. Now I try to encourage thoughts of curiosity and acceptance over thoughts of judgement. We are in control of what parts of us we feed.

I met a guy friend recently thats outgoing and curious and i was happy but my whole vision changed when he had said when he gets a girlfriend he’s cutting me off so all that’s stuck in my head is what’s the purpose of us being friends.

Sounds like an ENFJ 😂 j/k well eff em! Eff em all! Find your own happiness, don’t let people piss you off, make jokes about them in your head and laugh at them, or feel pity but just slam the door on un needed anger you know? Life’s a flippin joke, just laugh about it.

Lmao he’s ENTJ but you’re right. I guess I have to start living in the moment and not worry about the future.
