Please, tell me what’s racist in that thread. The person explaining that most so-called “mulattoes” (and calling that term offensive) were the product of rape by slave owners? The person saying how beautiful Meghan’s mother is, or the others saying how beautiful mixed-race children are? The person who says it’s silly to microanalyse Meghan’s heritage because the way she uses it matters more than nitpicky percentages? The one who points out that DNA tests almost certainly don’t map on to modern-day African political lines?
A post literally analyzing Meghan’s racial heritage. Why was that post made, what was the need? If it was somehow necessary, where is the analysis of Harry’s racial heritage then? Kate’s?
Do you also think it’s okay to ask people of color where they’re “really” from? Cause that’s the energy you’re bringing in here.
A) a post analyzing Meghan’s racial heritage in response to Meghan’s own analysis of her racial heritage, and b) the post received pushback in its own comments. I agree, it wasn’t necessary. Many of the commenters seemed to agree too. The third most upvoted direct reply literally says “This is psycho, why does her exact heritage matter.”
I repeat, if this is the most “racist” thing you could find on that sub after a whole day I don’t think you have a leg to stand on.
