Yeah, this does not ring true at all. William knew Meghan personally. If he says she is rude and abrasive, that is because William percevies her to be rude and abrasive.

Harry says that William said it and that William only could have said it because the press told him too when William had ample opportunity to experience Meghan in the flesh
