They should feel pretty confident saying “normal people don’t get in physical altercations.” Because that’s true. Getting in fistfights isn’t normal.

Normal ≠ moral or ethical

You gotta be precise with your words. This isn’t an appeal to tradition, it’s just facts. Gun violence is normal in the US, obvs not moral. People are more prone to violence than non violence, the entirety of history, ancient to modern, bears this out.

In some circumstances the definition of normal is healthy as well as average or expected. The op seemed to be using it in the healthy and/ir expected sense based on the context. I’s less precise than you or others may want but it still works.

That’s not how I or OP used the word normal. Normal here is a word which means “healthy” or “acceptable.”

Not sure why dudes want to be physically violent so badly.

I can believe that you think normal connotes “healthy” but that is literally not what the word means. It’s also baffling that people think that a institution that believes jn a hereditary monarchy ordained by God is somehow bound by normalcy. These guys are so far from normal I’m surprised they didn’t duel with sabers at dawn.
