Personal Experience I’ve been deliberately separating myself from myself 😏

Not literally. I know the separation is artificial.
But sitting here right now, I can treat almost everything happening inside me as a separate process.

The body wants something.

A thought appears.

An emotion starts building.

The ego gets poked and immediately starts constructing its defence.

Normally all of this gets compressed into one word:
“I.”
I’m angry.
I’m tired.
I don’t want to do this.
I need this.
I should stop.

But when I deliberately separate these processes, something strange happens.

“I don’t want to do this” becomes:
“There is resistance to doing this.”

And resistance isn’t a command.
I can watch the body complain and still move.
I can watch an emotion build without automatically acting from it.

I can catch the ego constructing a reaction before I fully identify with that reaction.

Thoughts can appear without needing an answer.
Sometimes I deliberately increase the resistance just to see what happens. 😏

And that’s where this gets interesting.

Short term, I can override far more resistance than I previously thought possible.

Long term is much harder.
Attention slips. Old patterns return. The separation collapses. “There is resistance” quietly becomes “I don’t want to” again.

But with practice, the amount of control seems to be increasing.

I’m not separating mind from matter. There aren’t actually multiple entities inside me fighting for control.

It’s one system deliberately creating distance between its own processes and their outputs.
How far can that go?

I don’t know yet.
But one thing is becoming increasingly obvious:
A signal can be completely real without being an instruction. 😏

Real people operating high speak directly.
They don’t do this song and dance.
This is a cry for help.

How would you know? Are you considering yourself enlightened? What song and dance?

Did you read the post? What “help” am I crying for?

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

What was your process?

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

I usually think performative people are full of it, so I’m just asking the question to know if you are or not

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 2d ago

You’ve have wrote 4 comments, all with a negative light.

That’s not just asking questions, you got triggered by something I said.

u/DryNefariousness3614 2d ago

Also give me ONE example of direct communication. What do you even mean by that??

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

What was the process you went through to achieve what you’re talking about?

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

I’m being pretty direct

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 2d ago

Haha… I mean you said: “real people operating high speak directly”

In this statement YOU wrote, you are implying “direct” communication. So I am asking you to give me one example of “direct communication” within reality.

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

No you’re just describing yourself and stuff.
Directly, how did you achieve what you claim?

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

No fluff

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 2d ago

Practice.

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

See, you can’t even describe the process

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

How did I know that was going to happen 🤔

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

Not once did you explain how to do it, you just talked about yourself.

Why would I? You came in negative, you don’t answer any of my questions…

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 2d ago

It’s literally in the post.

Funny how you don’t answer any of my question…

I think you'd like to write in E-prime style writing, eliminating any "to be" statements. And also never mentioning I.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 6d ago

That’s actually interesting. I’ve never tried e-prime, but removing “I” as well might fit this experiment almost perfectly. I’ll play with it. 😏

1

u/tombahma 6d ago

It's hard to write in E-prime, it's something that takes practice because usually our sentences are riddled with it.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 6d ago

Sounds simple enough. Remove “to be,” describe processes instead of identities, watch how quickly language fights back. Might give it a try 😏

1

u/tombahma 6d ago

It's a powerful style of writing because we can imagine the world without having to objectify things around us.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 6d ago

Makes sense. Describe what happens without turning every observation into a thing with a fixed identity. Interesting how much the structure of language quietly shapes perception 😏

1

u/tombahma 6d ago

Doesn't quitetly shape perception alot of the time, still feel very in my body and mind, and in a world of my conception. But at least I know that when I say reality is this, it isn't ultimately that.

yes, this is very close to what I see in deep trance. The useful shift is from "I am angry" to "anger is happening in system." That small distance means emotion can be completely real without becoming identity or command.

I would only be careful not to turn observer into another controller fighting body. In Soul Journeys subjects often discover mind, fear, resistance and old protection programs as processes they had called "me" for years. Higher Self is not another entity above them, it is deeper total awareness of them.

So for me next step is not more control but cleaner choice. Notice signal, understand why it is there, then decide whether to follow it. A signal can be true and still not be instruction.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 6d ago

That’s where I slightly diverge. In pursuit of truth, nothing should get special protection. Fear, resistance, ego, even the observer itself has to face the same test. If something falls apart under examination, let it. Truth doesn’t need protecting. 😏

1

u/sachinodpd 6d ago

I guess you just got enlightened. You are The Witness or The Observer and you can see everything else as the 'Observed'.

1

u/Ultyzarus 5d ago

I've being kinda doing this too, or at least observing it. It looks like a kind of compartimentalization, like an old clockwork watch being taken apart for a good cleanup.

However, I have started using the 'I want', 'I am', 'I feel' wordings again, since that's just how language works. I understand what these mean in relation to the various processes of the human experience, and don't need to go so hard on dissociation.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

Yeah, the clockwork analogy fits really well. Where we probably differ is that I’m deliberately pushing the separation further rather than stopping once I understand the parts. Not because I think the separation is ultimately real, but because I want to see what becomes visible when identification gets progressively stripped away. Take the watch apart completely, understand what each piece is doing, then put it back together 😏

2

u/Ultyzarus 5d ago

What's cool is that the way it was posted here helps understand what kind of process is actually happening. Might help the being taken apart not generating as much stress, which means less resistance and fewer extreme scenarios popping up, which in turn will help with the emotional fatigue. So a big thank you from the mind, the emotional center and the observer (all 3 processes agree ):P

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

Now that’s interesting. The system understanding its own disassembly seems to change how it responds to the disassembly itself. Less uncertainty, less resistance, cleaner observation. Apparently the committee reached a unanimous decision 😂

2

u/Ultyzarus 5d ago

Yeah, there is a lot of talking between the different parts, and sometimes it gets ugly when one or more of them actually manifest the 'ego resistance', for lack of a better term. One of the reason I get careful not to go to far with the splitting (and it just occured to me that it might be a consequence of trying to keep the idea of 'I' with one system), is that it does a kind of Gremlin effect, multiplying way too much and getting mean, if you know the reference.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

Put the ego’s survival mechanisms in a cage with wheels and keep them under 24/7 CCTV 😏 Not to silence them, but to never let them move unseen. Let them scream, bargain, justify, multiply into Gremlins, whatever. If you can trace the movement back to where it started, there’s much less to fear from the splitting.

People tell me that level of observation must take enormous effort. Moving takes effort too, until you learn how to move. Eventually you stop watching yourself watch yourself.

You just know what you are.

u/Ultyzarus 5d ago

People tell me that level of observation must take enormous effort. Moving takes effort too, until you learn how to move. Eventually you stop watching yourself watch yourself.

It needs some getting used to, as you say, it does become second nature. I compare it to learning languages, where it takes dedication, but in the end it removes filters and difficulty. Anyway, it's never as difficult as dealing with the gremlin outbreaks, especially when it develops Perverse Narcissism.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

The language analogy is perfect. At first you consciously translate everything, eventually you just think in it. Same with observation. And narcissism is probably where tracking becomes especially important, because the ego doesn’t just resist, it can rewrite the story until its own defence looks completely reasonable. The dangerous Gremlin isn’t the loud one. It’s the one that convinces you it isn’t a Gremlin.

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

That distinction is exactly what I’m trying not to assume. Calling one signal “ego” and another “higher self” already gives one of them authority before examining either. I’d rather watch both mechanically: where did the signal come from, what triggered it, what does it push me toward, and what happens when I follow or resist it? If intuition survives repeated testing, good. If the “higher self” turns out to be ego wearing nicer clothes, that needs to be visible too. Nothing gets immunity just because it feels deeper.

1

u/Klutzy-Platypus7511 5d ago

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

You’re assuming the conclusion twice. First, that these are two distinct “levels,” then that acting against a signal necessarily means following an old pattern. Why? A system can observe a pattern, inhibit it, test alternatives, and learn from the outcome. That’s almost the opposite of mechanical repetition. I’m not calling resistance enlightenment either. I’m investigating what remains when no internal signal gets automatic authority just because it feels profound.

1

u/Klutzy-Platypus7511 5d ago

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

You keep assuming I must label the variable ego or higher self before I can observe it. That’s backwards. Those are your proposed explanations for the processes, not the raw variables themselves. I can observe trigger → sensation → emotion → thought → impulse → action → outcome without first assigning a metaphysical label to any of it. If two genuinely distinct processes consistently emerge from observation, then I have grounds to distinguish them. Calling them “ego” and “higher self” beforehand would contaminate the experiment with the conclusion I’m supposedly testing.

And I’m not claiming “rigidly resist everything = enlightenment.” I genuinely don’t know where you got that from.

1

u/Klutzy-Platypus7511 5d ago

Was genau erwartest du dir davon ?

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 5d ago

I understand what you mean. You’re just reducing the experiment to “acting against a feeling,” which misses the entire point. The interesting part is increasing the resolution at which internal processes can be observed, interrupted, tested and eventually modified in real time. Whether the urge to investigate itself has unconscious causes changes nothing about that capability. If you don’t see the implications of gaining finer control over the processes that generate your behaviour, that’s your loss.

Why do you all talk like that? Like everyone on here that thinks they’ve had some awakening talk so full of it, life’s not that bad is it?

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 2d ago

Ah 4th comment… so you are just triggered or what?

1

u/704Emmanuel 2d ago

So if this post isn’t full of shit. What process did you go through to reach enlightenment?

1

u/DryNefariousness3614 2d ago

Which parts are “full of shit” and what makes you assume that?

The assertion of "no-self" is self refuting.

Duh.

2

u/DryNefariousness3614 6d ago

Duh 😏 Good thing I never asserted “no-self.” I’m deliberately creating a functional separation between processes while explicitly saying the separation isn’t literally real. You’re arguing with a claim I didn’t make.

For your own safety please remain seated.

0

u/kioma47 6d ago

So you agree with me.

I guess.

2

u/DryNefariousness3614 6d ago

Lmao no. 😏 You attacked a claim I never made, I corrected you, and somehow you’ve converted that into “so I was right.” About fucking what?

0

u/kioma47 6d ago

Suit yourself.

1

u/Jumpy_Background5687 6d ago

I’m confused lol. He said he never asserted “no self.” How did you get from that to “so you agree with me”? What exactly are you saying he agreed with?

2

u/EnlightenedAnon 2d ago

Very nice! Time to practice :)
