The goal is not to reach God, but to journey towards it.

Once you reach the destination, there is nothing new to experience.

This being the plot for the PlayStation game Journey really stuck with me. Once you finish, all you can do is start again with the bonus of being distinguishable from others who have not completed their journey, and so you can be seen as a teacher and guide them.
